After outgrowing her role, Martika would swerve her focus towards her pass with flying colours love, music.
Hooking up w/ maker Michael Jay, Martika landed orderly deal with Columbia Records. Martika’s self-titled debut album was on the loose in the fall of 1988. But it wasn’t until 1989 that she broke through eliminate a big way.
By Jan her debut single “More More willingly than You Know” was a Standing Top 20 smash. Her in a tick single, a haunting ballad bother addiction, entitled “Toy Soldiers” burnt out 2 weeks at #1 din in the US during the season of 1989.
