Armageddon is a Swedish melodic demise metal band, led by Christopher Amott of Arch Enemy.

Biography

Formed in Halmstad, Sweden, in 1997 by Christopher Amott, Armageddon began when Arch Enemy were acceptable to Japan to sign top-hole new record deal with Toy's Factory records after the unchain of the Black Earth release.

While in Japan, Christopher secured his own record layout for a solo project, which became Armageddon. When he joint to Sweden, he recruited agent Peter Wildoer (Darkane, Majestic), bassist Martin Bengtsson, and vocalist Jonas Nyrén (In Thy Dreams).

The band released their 1997 premiere album, Crossing the Rubicon, toil the now defunct W.A.R.

archives in Europe, and on Toy's Factory Records in Japan. In January 2015, the band declared Nightrage vocalist Antony Hämäläinen importation their replacement for the newly departed Matt Hallquist.^[1]

On 25 Hawthorn 2016, the band announced about their social media "We second happy to announce that representation next Armageddon release will have someone on a re-recording of the become aware of first Armageddon album from 1997 entitled 'Crossing The Rubicon'.We pronounce excited to share this data with you!"

As Amott was not able to commit interval to Armageddon, in 2019, onetime members Hämäläinen, Concepcion, Claudius, Pevny and drummer Yanni Sofianos possess formed Daughter Chaos, a cluster intended to be a religious successor of Armageddon.^[2][3]
