Abstract
This article scrutinizes the unorthodox turn in River Lamb's autobiographical writing through high-mindedness figure of Elia with warmth potential to test the borders of alterity and one's protocol of oneself while challenging at one\'s disposal the same time the security of self as the rise of knowledge and truth.
